Commanding superb views of the High Atlas Mountains and set in a four acre walled garden, surrounded by olive groves and farmland, Villa Alexandra is one of the few luxury houses in the countryside of Morocco. Designed and built by a French Colonel fifty years ago the Villahas been sympathetically renovated in Mediterranean style in 2003. With the use of traditional Tadellakt throughout (hand polished plaster work), Zelijes (Moroccan tiles), Bejmatt (local bricks), polished stone and finished with ornate cedar wood shutters, doors and windows this Villa has a cool air of style and sophistication. Stunning antique wall hangings, Mother of Pearl inlaid Syrian mirrors, Egyptian tent hangings and hand-woven fabrics and silks make it a dramatic and luxurious haven from which to see the mysteries of Marrakech, the beaches and fish restaurants of Essauria, the Berber villages in the foothills of the Atlas mountains and much more.
